The Ambleside is not a new model in the ABI range; in fact it has been and remains a popular staple for holiday home owners.

ABI continues to manufacture to an excellent standard, whilst positively contributing to reducing carbon emissions by committing to planting a tree in UK schools for every unit built.

The reason I’ve chosen the 2022 Ambleside this time is purely down to its rustic charm. For me, its all about the lemony – fresh accents perfectly complimenting the natural wood and earthy tones throughout. On entry you have a small central hallway, useful for leaving muddy shoes and boots out the way. The bedrooms, ensuite and main bathroom are well-appointed. There are a number of USPs, I particularly like the additional skylights in the kitchen and bathroom, drawing additional brightness into those areas, and although not a new concept I love the butler sink/washing

area being completely separate from the impressive integrated oven and 5-burner hob. The kitchen is the heart of this home, featuring a whole wall of storage and hidden appliances, punctuated with a wine rack and cute wicker basket tidy holes. The free standing dining table and chairs fit beautifully in the given space and leaves plenty of room for a cosy and inviting lounge area. I feel like I’m often distracted with the smallest of details and the large matching upholstered footstool really does finish this room splendidly.

This unit starts at £70,818 for a 40 x 12 x 2 and I challenge anyone to find the build quality and style offered for a similar price. As always there are a number of optional extras including second bedroom as a double instead of a twin including lift up storage.

Thanks, Alex
