Welcome to our new feature ‘Editor’s Choice’ which gives us the opportunity to showcase a product, service or company and gives a behind the scenes glimpse into their inner workings. For our inaugural edit, we’ve chosen Swift Holiday Homes – steeped in touring and motorhome production since the ‘60s, they started production of holiday homes in 2014 and we’ve always been super impressed by their commitment to quality, innovation and sustainability.

In this feature we’ve taken a look at what Swift are doing to push forward in 2023…

What’s new and exciting at Swift Holiday Homes?

James Turner: Chief Executive Officer

There’s been a great deal happening at Swift on the holiday home front with several major investments in our manufacturing operations here in Cottingham which I’d like to share with you. Our new plant, machinery and processes for holiday home production mean that we are investing not just in improved capacity but in industryleading capabilities. These multi-million pound projects will help to support our capacity to grow production by over 30% in the coming years.

This ambition for growth is supported by exciting ranges of new holiday homes and lodges including the all new S-Pods, and with additional dedicated holiday home production lines and streamlined processes, as well as a plethora of operational quality enhancements.

We hope to welcome you to the Swift stand at the Great Holiday Home event in September, where we will be showcasing our full range of Holiday Homes, Lodges as well as some Touring Caravans and Motorhomes.

Tell us more about the team behind Swift Holiday Homes:

Amy Archer: Chief Operating Officer

It’s not just about plant and equipment - we know that we also need the right people with the right skills to build our Holiday Homes to our exacting standards. That’s why investing in our people is our number one priority.

We have a dedicated training academy where we train hundreds of colleagues every year and an outstanding apprentice scheme with over 40 new apprentices joining us in 2022 and a plan for another 30+ this year, so we’re not just investing in our future but in their future too.

We also need to keep good employees motivated with a career path that excites them and keeps their skills in our business. All our manager level colleagues have undergone a leadership training course specially delivered with our core values in mind.

We call these values ‘EPIC’ and they drive the Swift culture.

What’s new in terms of design?

Duncan Smith : Sales and Relationship Director

Here’s an early view of the NEW Toronto - a brand new Lodge which will be available in two genres - our brand-new Urban genre and the all popular Country Cottage theme.

Following extensive research with our insights and trends teams we have designed the new Urban theme, reflecting these appealing new trends in interior design and utilising metallic and chrome finishes with many new added luxury features for a sumptuous and contemporary look.

Available in our best-selling popular layouts, 42 x 20ft 2 and 3 bed with the Swift superior standard bonded sandwich exterior wall construction for greater strength.

All New S-Pods
We’re absolutely thrilled to be launching a new range of our S-Pods later this year which will also encompass the ‘Urban’ genre.

With accents of pewter, warm black and a touch of gold this ‘mixed metallic’ look is bang on trend and has an elegant yet comfortable feel. We’ve invested in beautiful fixtures and fittings throughout with a focus on texture and colour. The new layouts will maximise space, provides bags of storage and take the
S-Pod range to a whole new level.

Available later this year in 4 and 6 berth, followed by an 8 berth in 2024.
