Another cracking show weekend at the Lawns in Cottingham, expertly directed by Teamwork Professionals. David and Michael and the team always do a fantastic job so a big thanks from all at NACO. It’s also the end of an era at the Lawns – the showground is being sold, so another has been found which will offer an excellent opportunity next year for the industry as the Expo moves the Yorkshire Event Centre in Harrogate.
Looking back at the 2019 offerings it’s clear that the industry is on good form, and whilst Brexit continues to trouble our government and the UK in general, we’re feeling the benefit of this with plenty of people choosing to stay in the UK buying holiday caravans and lodges.
The manufacturers continue to push the innovation envelope with eco-friendly, space-saving, gadget-boasting, double-decker offerings. It’s great to see a British manufacturing sector doing well and we should all embrace this fantastic success story.
We’ve been coming to Hull for the best part of 20 years. We’ve been exhibiting here for a decade. We’ve met hundreds of NACO members and signed up hundreds of new ones. We’ve made friends and established strong industry connections – we’ve also found some really nice pubs and restaurants!
It’s actually been rather emotional.
As we sat and talked over dinner last night we realised that we were going to miss our September trip to the caravan epicentre of the UK. However, we agreed that we’re all looking forward to a new challenge in Harrogate and are ready for Beaulieu at the end of the month – pop along and say hi if you can.
