Holiday Park Review: Lanyon Holiday Park

Jayne Rielly from Lanyon holiday park gives us the low-down on their beautiful park near Redruth in Cornwall…

“There are great views from Lanyon, you can watch the sun set over the ocean and spread across the sky from St Ives Bay. The swimming pool is housed in a large (and warm) conservatory that gives the feeling of being outdoors. We have an enclosed children’s play area, games room and a seasonal bar & restaurant with free entertainment.

Situated high on a south-facing hill, Lanyon overlooks the World Heritage Cornish mining area, the ‘Great Flat Lode’ mining buildings are scattered across the landscape interlaced with fascinating footpaths only 400 yards from the Holiday Park. It is great for off road walking or cycling.

Lanyon is just 2 miles from Stithian’s Lake; Angling and water sport adventure centre with excellent facilities for sailing, windsurfing and canoeing. We are an ideal base to tour and explore South West Cornwall, the closest seaside village is Portreath (6 miles) and a little further away are Falmouth (10 miles), St Ives (12 miles), Penzance (16 miles) and Lands End (19 miles).

The park benefits from having an 11 month holiday licence and is open over the Christmas and New Year periods.”
