We’ve always loved travelling around the world to various places but wanted to explore many more places with ease and actually experience the destination, rather than just fly in and fly out! We’ve always wanted to be able to just ‘up and leave’ when we chose, and began looking into life in a motor home.

In 2015, we decided to play it safe and bought a Ford Tribute Entry Level Motorhome. As we had no idea as to whether we’d even like staying in a motorhome, especially as I’m 6ft4!

It was from then that our adventures began.

We initially took short breaks to various places around the UK from the Lake District and South Coast, to Cornwall and France.

After a few years of short trips, we wanted to be outdoors and on the road as much as possible, so took the plunge, sold our house and bought a Fifth Wheel, Sabre 22 RETS in 2018. The rig was amazing and we sited it for around 18 months at Barleylands in Billericay.

In order for us to go travelling it would mean I would have to upgrade my driving license to a category CE, which is for a large articulated lorry. We also realized that travelling in something so very large in Britain and in much of Europe, wasn’t going to really work. We did not fancy driving down country lanes in this beast!!

As C-19 hit, we enjoyed a very outdoor lifestyle in Essex, but once 2020 arrived we decided to sell the Fifth Wheel and purchase a high-end, large motorhome; a Swift Kintiki 649 Hi Line. This is when things started to change.

We were now in a better position to be able to just ‘get up and go’ as we had wanted to all along.

We started our adventures by touring France, Spain and Portugal and hitting the road for at least 1 to 2 weeks a month. Coming back to London to ensure the business runs as it should.

It’s been a crazy few years, but step by step, we’ve been able to move closer to our goal of being on the road full time. Our current plan is to head to the South
of France, heading into Italy. Over to Ibiza and then onto Greece. It’s going to be long road trip, but we’re super excited for the adventures and freedom that being on the road brings.

We’re big advocates of encouraging others to break away from ‘the norm’ and follow your passions – so if hitting the road and touring full time is what you dream of; we’d say go for it! You never know what’s out there waiting for you!
