Static Holiday Caravan Shows Preview - 2017

Not long until it’s that time of year again – Caravan Show time.

The 2017 Lawns Caravan Extravaganza takes place over the weekend of 2nd & 3rd September. This is the annual event organised by HERCMA (Hull & East Riding of Yorkshire Caravan Manufacturers Association) held at Cottingham, in logically close proximity to the caravan-manufacturing capital of Britain – Hull. If this is within day-tip range for you and you are thinking of buying a static holiday caravan or lodge, or upgrading your existing model, this is a worthwhile and enjoyable outing that allows you to get some hands-on experience of the units under consideration.

The holiday homes on display are deemed to be 2018 models, this traditionally being the occasion when manufacturers proudly unveil their latest bundles of joy and potential customers can judge the latest features for themselves.

There are many exhibitors, from all sectors of the industry – statics, lodges, park homes, insurance, accessories, decking, storage – hopefully catering for any caravan-related requirement you may have. As usual NACO will be represented with our extremely popular stand, so pop along, put some names to faces and have a chat.

We are on hand to give advice about all things caravan and particularly love to welcome new members. We are also on a mission to investigate new developments in the industry, with all the new models on show, so that we can report back to members via our magazine, “The Holiday Caravanner

While in the area, it is also worth a small detour to pick up on developments from manufacturers who aren’t part of the HERCMA umbrella organisation. This is usually held at Cottingham Golf Club, which is within easy reach once you’ve made it to Lawns.

If Yorkshire is out of geographical range for you, HERCMA also promotes a southern version of the show, which brings the same variety of new products to the picturesque setting of Beaulieu in Hampshire. There are many attractions in this part of the world – The New Forest and Beaulieu itself spring to mind. But you might also like to pop in to the NACO stand, which will have made the journey south.

Full details of both shows are available at
